Full-Service Installation

Complete Landscape Installation for Utah Homeowners

A full landscape installation takes your outdoor space from its current state — whether that's bare dirt, old sod, or overgrown beds — to a finished, polished yard. Lundberg Landscape handles every phase of that transformation: design consultation, demolition and removal, grading, material sourcing and delivery, plant selection and placement, irrigation adjustment, and final install.

You deal with one contractor, not three or four. Russ Lundberg coordinates everything personally, which means there's no miscommunication between the demo crew and the install crew, no gaps in scheduling, and no finger-pointing when something doesn't line up correctly.

A Full Install Includes

  • 📐 Design consultation and site walkthrough
  • 🌱 Existing material demo and removal
  • 🏔️ Grading, drainage, and site prep
  • 💧 Sprinkler system adjustment or installation
  • 🪨 Rock, gravel, or mulch install
  • 🌿 Drought-tolerant plant selection and placement
  • 🌵 Drip irrigation for planted zones
  • 🏁 Edging, cleanup, and final grade check

Water-Wise Landscape Design for Utah's Climate

Every installation Lundberg Landscape builds starts from Utah's specific conditions — not a generic landscape template. Here's what drives our design decisions:

Soil — Clay Management

Salt Lake County's clay-heavy soil drains slowly, pools water during rain events, and cracks hard during summer drought. We amend planting areas with appropriate material and grade rock beds for faster surface drainage — preventing the standing-water problems that undermine many Utah landscape installs.

Water Restrictions

We design irrigation systems around current and anticipated Salt Lake County watering restrictions. Spray coverage is minimized in favor of drip lines in plant beds. Smart controllers are included in all new irrigation installs. The goal is a yard that looks great on a 2-day-per-week watering schedule.

Plant Selection for Zones 7a–7b

Salt Lake Valley sits in USDA hardiness zones 7a and 7b, with summer temperatures routinely above 95°F and winter lows that can reach 0–10°F. We select plants rated for this range that are also drought-tolerant — eliminating the problem of "drought-tolerant" plants from warmer climates that don't survive Utah winters.

HOA Compliance

Many Sandy, Draper, and South Jordan properties are governed by HOAs with specific landscape requirements — approved materials lists, minimum coverage ratios, restrictions on rock color or type. We are familiar with common HOA requirements across Salt Lake County and design installs accordingly.

Rebate Qualification

If your project involves removing existing turf, we design the replacement materials to meet Utah Water Savers program requirements — ensuring the install qualifies for the rebate rather than leaving money on the table due to an unapproved material or insufficient coverage.

Phased Projects

For larger properties, we design the landscape so it can be installed in phases if budget requires. The front yard this season, back yard next year — with materials and design consistent between phases so the finished result looks intentional, not piecemeal.

Landscape Installation Costs in Utah

Project cost depends on scope — square footage, material selections, plant density, site conditions, and whether grading or irrigation work is included. Front yard conversions and full-property installs are priced very differently, and the Utah Water Savers rebate can significantly offset the cost of any project that removes irrigated turf.

Front Yard Conversion

Includes grass removal, grading, weed barrier, rock or gravel, and drought-tolerant plants. Qualifying turf removal makes this project eligible for the Utah Water Savers rebate — Russ handles the paperwork and walks you through the process.

Full Property Installation

Complete front and back yard conversions involve more phases and material volume, but rebates scale accordingly. Most full-property projects qualify for substantial rebate amounts that meaningfully reduce the net investment.
